What is Lyrica®?

An anticonvulsant and anti neuralgic, Lyrica, or pregabalin, is prescribed to help prevent certain types of seizures in some patients with epilepsy, and also to treat certain types of pain. Lyrica is effective in the treatment of nerve pain such as diabetes related pain, fibromyalgia, and pain related to shingles.

While Lyrica can be very effective in treating extreme forms of pain, it can have troublesome side effects such as dizziness, unsteady balance, blurred vision and difficulty thinking. It can also produce unpleasant symptoms if its use is suddenly discontinued, so be sure you follow your doctor's instructions while you're taking Lyrica. Don't change your dosage or stop taking the drug without a doctor's supervision.

Best brain pill The link between Lyrica and memory loss

Memory loss and difficulty with concentration are both considered common side effects of Lyrica. Because Lyrica is used to treat severe, chronic pain, these side effects are often felt to be worth the risk. However, if you suffer severe memory loss, or if memory loss becomes troubling to you, consult your doctor to see if a different dosage or another medication might work just as well for you without the same side effects.

Solutions to memory loss from Lyrica

Memory and concentration can both be improved by exercising the brain. Just as physical exercise can help you build strength in your body, brain fitness exercises help build strength in the brain. Numerous memory enhancing programs have been written up in book form, most of which use visualization techniques or games to help increase your brain power. Games that require memorization, concentration, or calculating skills also can help build up your memory and ability to focus.

Certain nutritional supplements are beneficial to the brain, as well. Constant Focus provides several of these, specially chosen for their helpful effects on brain power. These supplements can prevent the breakdown of important neurotransmitters, reduce stress, and increase circulation to the brain, all of which can increase your mental power and help prevent memory loss.

If you're taking Lyrica or any other drug and would like to try Constant Focus to decrease your memory loss, consult with your doctor first to avoid any possible interactions between the supplements and your medication.
